Textile or Fabric printing is an archaic and primeval form of art. It refers to the applying of color on the fabric in a particular design or pattern to boost up the beauty of the fabric.

Textile printing constitutes designing or decorating a fabric in colors galore, and there are a whole lot of processes that come under the purview of textile printing.

Some of the common forms of textile printing include spray printing, dyeing and last but not the least, screen textile printing. Screen textile printing is a method where an appealing image is engraved with the espousal of an ink blocking stencil. This stencil is called the screen or the frame.

It is a hand oriented method where void or empty spaces are encrusted to produce designs on the surface by applying ink or paint through the holes.

Screen textile printing is often puzzled with fabric dyeing but in screen textile printing the whole fabric does not go under the process of dyeing. The fabric is printed according to the design on the fabric.

Screen printing is an all embracing procedure where printing is articulated on manifold variety of substrates like paper, textile material, plastics, glass, etc with the assistance of thickened screen ink.

We, at Ankita Printers® undertake the privilege to render customer oriented services on screen textile printing that replete with perfection.

Tools

There are many things that are needed to print a fabric apart from the fabric or the colors.

Stencils, wooden blocks, rollers, and engraved plates are used to place color on the fabric properly.

The colors used in screen textile printing contain dyes. It thickens the color and resists it from spreading beyond the design or pattern.

Process

The process embodies stencil braided on a fabric. Each corner and side should be stretched against the stencil to confirm tightness.

Then you need to daub screen printing ink over the fabric in a darkened room. After it gets dried up, smear a black paper on the base and put screen at the top with cello taps all over.

Turn the light on right over the screen for longish period and then wipe the screen lightly with water. Then put a line of paint on the screen and lay down a stroke with light pressure to press down ink in the fabric through the screen.

Once you lift the screen up, you can visualize a picture on the fabric. Then iron the back side of the fabric and then wash it.

Advantages

Screen Textile printing is in tremendous vogue now-a-days and the principle reason behind its popularity is that it is an easier and simpler method entailed in the process.

Another advantage is that it has lower investment cost as it is free from machine usage with an emphasis on hand production. Consequently, it calls for yet another point of merit, and that is, the process can be carried out in a relatively shorter area and is not space consuming.

One more factor that counts for the popularization of screen textile printing is that it enhances the production rates through the use of gyratory printing press, dryers and U.V. resistant ink.
